Federal Lawmaker Dan’Arewa Inaugurates 700-Metre Road Project in Karofi

The committee of Hon. Aminu Balele Kurfi Dan’Arewa, the federal lawmaker representing the Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Constituency in the House of Representatives, has inaugurated a 700-metre road project with drainage systems in Karofi town, Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area.

The inauguration took place two days ago, according to details released by the project committee.

The project includes the construction of reinforced concrete drainage channels and the installation of 60 solar-powered streetlights along the road corridor.

Project specifications indicate that the drainage structures are being built with reinforced concrete rather than cement blocks or surface plastering. The materials used include a mixture of cement, gravel, stones, and sand, a measure officials say is intended to enhance durability and long-term structural resilience.

Upon completion of the drainage works, the road will be filled and asphalted.

Hon. Kurfi urged residents of Karofi to closely monitor the execution of the project and report any observed deficiencies or concerns to his representatives or directly to him for appropriate action.
